Australian Industry Productivity Centres: GMG Review

In January 2008 GMG received a report following a benchmarking review performed by the Australian Industry Productivity Centres (AIPC)

The Commonwealth provided funding through the Australian Industry Productivity Centres Initiative to … "organisations for the provision of business review services… The purpose…was to provide an assessment of (GMG) and identify areas of improvement…"

GMG''s Directors also wanted to track their progress by benchmarking their current capabilities against similar companies.

The review evaluated the overall performance of 360 comparative international companies.

As a result Global Manufacturing Group was benchmarked in the top ten percentile for overall company performance. An achievement that is a testament to GMG's commitment to key performance variables:

AIPC Business Review Report (Extract)

"GMG manufacture products largely to customer specifications… They have made a significant investment in plant and equipment to improve the range of services they offer and the quality of product produced. This is reflected in the 33% of total revenue from new products and services which has been achieved in the last year and this score rates in the strongest category against their peer companies."
